Matt James Hill is an emerging British Composer, Orchestrator and Guitarist based in Bristol, UK working predominantly, but not exclusively on music for screen. Recently Matt has written additional music and played on the BBC series' The Tourist (season 1 and 2) and Boat Story and orchestrated on films Deadpool and Wolverine, Sing Sing, One Life, Knock at the Cabin and The Pope's Exorcist. His compositions have also featured on numerous primetime and daytime factual television programmes and advertisements, including the latest UK Birdseye Chicken Dippers and Grills adverts.

Matt James Hill is an emerging British composer, orchestrator and guitarist based in London, working predominantly, but not exclusively on music for screen. Recently Matt has written additional music and played on the BBC series' The Tourist (season 1 and 2) and Boat Story and orchestrated on films Deadpool and Wolverine, One Life, Knock at the Cabin and The Pope's Exorcist. His compositions have also featured on numerous daytime factual television programmes and advertisements, including the latest UK Birdseye Chicken Dippers and Grills adverts.
Matt is also part of the ambient/classical duo Hemma which released their debut EP in January 2019, and are currently working on their second release. He also writes extensively for the Production Music Libraries Bibliotheque Music and Grey Man Production Music
Since picking up a guitar at the age of 13, Matt started writing music and has since developed a fascination in the relationship between music and moving image. His music naturally complements visuals and he takes great care and enjoyment in ensuring his music fits within a projects requirements and creative vision. His background in jazz and long interest in cinematic music, contemporary music and ambient music shapes his individual approach and sound.
